someone explain to me why forced robotization is become popular?
lots of transhumanists wish technology where already this far to discard their failing biomass, and this feels like an insult towards their dreams.

Tbh, 581's setting for me has kinda hit the "too bleak, stopped caring" threshold.

I never understood this, like what's the difference robotization and just a robot if the personality is not intact.
Like if you had a AI on top of her own personality so there was some kind of "forced to do this agenst her will" I could understand but only thing that this robotization do is keep the look of the subject.... boring...

the appeal of this kind of stuff lies not in the sex robot itself, but in the transformation, the way the girl is ship-of-theseus'd until there's nothing of her original self left, and the contrast between her previous personality/humanity and current emptiness. or to put it another way, the knowledge that something was erased... it wouldn't be the same if the sex robot were original and not based on the girl.

Why need a human if you are going to replace everything with machinery ??

wouldn't just building a robot be easier ??

Does this rely on something else to give context? It seems kinda random. There is no connection with the girl, the transformation is rushed, and then nothing implying there is anything left of her after. There's not even really any action.

@nemesis8727
I agree, an AI keeping their original personality in check would be great.

@PipedPiper
You won't want to live in a transhumanist world. Imagine: eternal, never-dying billionaires, your very life is a subscription service, enshittification at that level, etc.
(So if this is an insult to transhumanism, good.)
