This translation was done by me with help help of online translators.

Thanks for not exclusively shitting on the first half-assed attempt, but also giving some critic as well. So now I've completely scrapped everything from the first upload, got myself more tools to work with and started from scratch with much more focus on the editing as well. So I hope this is now much better than before.

This is my first ever translation and I don't speak Japanese.
So for the translation I've taken both the Japanese and the Chinese version and ran them through mostly google translate, but also multiple other translators if needed, either each sentence separately or word by word, to make the translation as accurate as I can.

So far I've only done the first 65 pages, but depending on the reception I will continue. Have every single page already translated in txt files, they just need to be edited.

If there are any mistakes or poor wordings in the translations, please let me know.

I appreciate the effort, but even if you're doing out of good will, you'll only get negative feedback, I don't think anyone would read your translation even if you put the effort to make sense out of an AI translation. I think it's best to wait for the "official" translation.
Try to find some black and white with bubble text hentai to translate first, if you only have Paint it will be just a little bit better for the editing. Here with full colors and no bubbles it's really bad.

OP, let me share an important piece of wisdom with you: People care about results, not effort. Even if you had spent 500 hours on making this, it's ultimately not a good end result.

If you really wish to contribute, find manga by lesser-known artists and translate them from English into whatever your native language is.

If at some point you want to buy a program, Clip Studio Paint is pretty damn good. It goes on regular sales and the lower priced option is more than you'll need. Obviously you should use GIMP or Krita first and see if you enjoy the process, but CSP was pretty much made for comics and manga so it's got some really good text tools.

I'm personally ambivalent on human-made newbie translations using googled translate and proof reading. It may not be as good as a proper translation, but IMO it's a good way to boost someone actually trying to learn Japanese, and I value even middle of the road work over genuine slop or simple copy pastes with no human editing. So, even if it's not perfect, I do appreciate you taking the time to put in real effort. I do suggest trying with works that are by less popular authors, but mostly because fewer people are likely to complain your ear off and will just be thankful someone tried and didn't put un-edited MTL slop in a gallery and called it a day.

It is completely possible to translate stuff without speaking the language today. This is a fact and many people do it with great results because tools are so good today.
It is very puritanist and elitist, also misinformed to say that you need an "official translation" a.k.a a translation done by someone who speaks the language, and done without excessive tool usage for a translation to be good.

The problem with that approach is that you can't verify if the machine/AI translation is correct because you have little to no understanding of the languages involved.

@arathoras: If you do not speak the source language, how would you know whether you understood the original meaning? The translation took could give any *plausible* output and you'd simply have to trust it, because you can't verify.

If you do not speak the target language, how would you know whether the result is correct? Your result could be anywhere between "That's what a native speaker would have written" and "Indecipherable garbage", and you would be none the wiser. The better your understanding of the target language is, the better you can identify when translations are semantically wrong, or even if they sound stilted and "weird".

If there is a hypothetical world in which tools can bang out a 100% correct and appropriate translation, indistinguishable from one made by a human with native-level experience, then I fully agree that there is nothing wrong with making such machine translations. But the reality is that we don't live in that world, not today and likely not tomorrow either. Bad translations deserve to be marked as bad translations, whether done by hand, tool-assisted or made entirely by tools.

Ok, I've seen the replies and I just don't get it.
First thing I read, was that only results matter, but every single negative feedback I see here does not mention the result a single bit and those that do, say it's good.
All the critic I see has nothing to do with the work and only with me using translators instead of speaking Japanese.

So let me give a little bit more info here.

Also Wataya work, done by someone not speaking any japanese with just the help of online translators. And back then no one gave a shit about that. There were obviously some mistakes and still no one cared.
So I don't get why now everyone is hating on using translators so much.

Did translate every single page just into txt files and before I considered editing, the Ottoberg translation came out (who btw does translations officially published by Wataya themselves. They just for the more recent works take like 2-3 years to come out)
I see talk about needing 100% correct translation for it to be good, but after seeing the official translation with having done a translation of it before, I realized they improvised A LOT and brought in personal edits everywhere to make it fit better, even if it completely deviated from the original.

And online translators get a lot of bad rep, cuz of all the absolutely horrible MTLs, even though it’s most times not the translators fault there. It's the text recognition that's terrible. They most of the time don't recognize the characters correctly and don't see sentence structures, so they split sentences and translate the parts separately.
If you take your time to extract the text, make sure every character is correct and you got the whole sentence, the translation is night and day to the typical MTL garbage.

And there definitely are ways to verify how correct the translation is, even without speaking japanese.
The little I picked up from 10+ years of watching anime helped, especially cuz the translator always gave me the rōmaji version as well.
I had previous work from Wataya already translated by Ottoberg to compare to, as many phrases from Wataya get repeated throughout all their works.
And just googling a sentence or parts of it, might lead to japanese learning forums covering that or similar topics.

I didn't feel the need to share this, but almost no one seemed to care about the translation itself and only about the fact how it was done.
I'm very confident, that if I just never mentioned that I used online translators, no one would have noticed. There definitely are some differences from the Japanese original, but that's a thing for translations done by Japanese speakers as well. Just find two translations of the same work done by two different people and surprise: they're different.
So I don't know if I just scared everyone off with the terrible edit on the first upload, or the opinion of AI translators has just decreased that much.

Don't get too worked up over it. People hate MTL, and before MTL they hated non-literal translations. Worst offenders were MangaDex users.

Admitting you used MTL essentially guarantees you get downvoted into oblivion. That is expected. Don't take offense at it and just keep practicing your technology stack to make it better.

Ever since Wataya stopped releasing the clean versions, it's gotten exponentially more difficult to translate his works. This in my opinion is the worst part, because he uses transparency that requires stitching together multiple pages and using the fill tool to make it look good. Gen AI fill made things better, but it can still look like ass if you don't know what you are doing.
