This is tasteful as hell! Finally some good corruption artwork with a good storyline and character nuance. Made me remember "The Invitation" by InCase which is the best piece of art in this department. I'll definitely be checking out and looking forward to more of your work
Went back and checked my Forgotten Realms lore, and the story takes one big change for sake of pr0n: Sharess/Bast in lore is ultimately metaphysically _good_, and probably would be opposed to this sort of mind-break corruption because she herself had been mentally enslaved to the evil goddess Shar in an earlier era.
Otherwise, Sharess obsesses over and toys with mortals she finds beautiful, and has a broad portfolio that includes cats (and werecats), sensual fulfillment/lust, and trickery. Her granted magic for clerics included charm, protection, and creation (which might explain the parasite-clothes). Were I writing I, I'd go less on the domination/brain melting and more on the charm/rizz aspect, _convincing_ the waifu that returning to Sharess was the better option rather than _forcing_ her.
Agree to disagree on some points: Sharess is ~chaotic good~, and here she truly considers this mind-and-body corruption garb a boon (while still remaining lore-accurate to her domain)
Plus, she does try to charm Ruby-Ellen back at the beginning of the story, which proves that she's ultimately good—she only switches to plan B after it fails. Besides, we're talking about a former Chosen who abandoned her, and gods in Faerûn never let this go unpunished, whatever their alignment. The fact that she uses the same type of punishment she herself suffered—while making sure her cleric ends up happier than ever—makes sense in my opinion!
What I did add, though, is that possessive side, which is not specified in her lore. Hope you enjoyed the story nevertheless!
Bear in mind that ~chaotic good~, is the alignment which holds Freedom and Self-Determination as paramount; a Deity whose very existence is tied to philosophical concepts like this would suffer at best for acting against them. Deluding and warping someone's mind; even for a punishment, is not something that Sharess nor any other CG god would *ever* do
