The rumor mill made Rebecca nervous about what fucking her boss might do to her career, even if he technically wasn't her direct supervisor, so she started avoiding him. He caught on quickly and accused her of "playing games," but she ignored him, opting to be the bigger person and walk away. That was a mistake.
He cornered her repeatedly over the next several months every chance he got--after basketball practice, in the parking lot, even on the clock! He knocked some sense into her first, then bent her over right there on the floor.
"I'll decide when we're done," he hissed at her.
It went on like that for so long, she lost track. Her personal life evaporated early on as she became a jumpy mess and avoided hanging out with friends. Her work performance and position on the department's intramural basketball team, however, improved substantially as she signed up for additional shifts and routinely stayed late at practice.
