Holy, that Musa is really based on Mansa Musa, a Muslim African ruler of Mali.

Before anyone asks, whats the big deal: Mali was the Golden Kingdom of Africa, they had so much gold and the Rulers wasted it everywhere, where they visited. After Musa, the kingdom started to decline thanks to the lack of gold and the amount of Slaves they got their hands on.

Musa had extensive Slave tradings with northern African nations and Arab nations. His famous travel to Mecca was a way of gaining Allah's forgivness as he killed his own mother and getting a good Reputation with the Muslims.

Mali was one of the entry points for Islam to conquer and convert West Africa, ruining and eradicating local cultures and religions.
