I don't know who is copying who(or if this theme was a recent trend) but this and Toru ni Taranai have the exact same premise down to even the characters; a lazy senpai who's sexually experienced and a desperate virgin kouhai trying to make money through Ero videos/couples' channel.
If they were trying to push them as a friends with benefits featuring a lot of ecchi situations, that would've been fine IMO.
But no, they're trying really hard to push it as a wholesome, lovey-dovey relationship but it can never be wholesome when one is a typical 3dpd woman with a past(and the way she described "it's been a while since I felt another person's tongue" made her seem like a promiscuous slut) and the other is just a desperate loser geek trying to get in her pants(I doubt money is even his aim here).
It's actually really pathetic and depressing to read(in Toru ni taranai's case, it even has cheating with lesbian and stuffs).
Toru ni taranai is written by a woman so it makes sense at least but this one just feels like it's written by a cuck(which is odd since his other works, like the Yuutosei one is actually very wholesome).

You can call it trends, Japan is a hivemind and once someone has an idea you can copy, everyone will jump on it like a dog in heat.
