I love this doujin, but I don't like some of the translator's choices. "Hits different" for example is a somewhat mainstream phrase these days but comes from ebonics and clashes with the setting and rest of the translation due to ebonics not conjugating "different" to "differently." It comes across as affected American Zoomer-speak rather than just an unaffected translation that honors the original vibe. Perhaps I'm mistaken and the original Japanese line is similarly influenced by black American slang, but I doubt it.
For anyone unaware as to why this artist hasn't made anything recently. a few months ago they got in a serious vehicle accident that has left them hospitalized for the past couple of months. the author doesn't know if they'll have the physical dexterity to draw again but here is hoping they can recover. it sounds like one of side of his body was injured, broken legs, broken collar bone, shoulder and arm.
