A dwarf and an elf are in the middle of their usual patrol around the mystic forest, they scour for useful materials, nabbing a peculiar mushroom who apparently can grant transformations.

Fiolette the elf is a kind girl, who's ever curious about the world at large beyond the forest, Funil is a dwarf with the peculiar trait of not being like all other dwarves who live mostly working in the mines, he seems to prefer living in the forest, that way Funil was befriend by Fiolette who's a local, they became friendly partners.

In the middle of their usual activities Fiolette and Funil stumble upon a man being hunted down by a monster swine, Funil stalls the beast while Fiolette scales the three with her bow on ready, she is a little unsure of herself but once reminding of Funil plans to stall the beast for her to get a good shot she steels herself and takes it down.

The man being chased was noticeably injured, he needs basic care, what's more he is a human. Fiolette takes upon herself to nurse him but Funil doesn't want Fiolette to waste precious herbs on a human, what if he is a poacher! Fiolette doesn't understand why Funil is so mad, she believes human lives are precious too but to quell Fonil's anger Fiolette says she will let the human go once he is healed enough to walk on his own...

Both human and elf talk to each other a lot, growing closer; Fiolette always dreamed of improving relations with humans, getting to meet a human like this is one such opportunity, Funil on the other hand watches them from afar, he is not open to humans like Fiolette is, the dwarf doesn't like them as a matter of fact.

A week has passed, the human still hasn't gone his merry way, Fonil tries to make Fiolette see his way once he got confirmation that isn't just any human but an actual poacher, see Funil was right! Funil makes his case that the human cannot be trusted, Fiolette should stay away from him; she doesn't agree with Funil, however, the Poacher is a little rough but so far he has treated Fiolette right, he promised he wouldn't be a Poacher again after his entire entourage died, being saved like this was a wake up call for him, they talked a lot about the world outside the forest, it captivated her, she doesn't see him as a bad human.

Funil loses his temper, Fiolette not only allowed the human to stay but is actually believing his talk about repenting? Funil insists Fiolette open her eyes, humans are deceitful, what's more he is a poacher, he is just lying to get her guard down, Fiolette's insistence in dreaming of the world outside and coexisting with humans is too dangerous, why can't she see Funil is just trying to keep her safe, he desperately pleads to his dear friend. With that Fiolette slaps Funil, he crossed the line, his warning against the Poacher seems baseless on her end and it was taken as an insult to Fiorette's dream itself, it hurts coming from someone she considered a great friend.

Alone, Funil thinks about what he can do make Fiolette see the truth, Funil is very worried about her as an elf specifically, Funil knows of the poachers' infamy for capturing female elves to sell them as sex slaves to human brothels, but his warning fell on deaf ears, it ended up turning into a heated argument instead, Fiolette won't listen to him now Funil thinks, but he has an idea, what if he uses a certain mushroom...

A caped elf knocks on Fiolette's door, she apologizes for taking too long to answer, she was busy, the caped stranger says he is an official poacher hunter who has been briefed about poachers in the area, he asks Fiolette to cooperate and lead him to any suspicious individuals for further questioning; the Poacher comes out, complaining about who interrupted his good time, Fiolette says an official hunter from the capital came and is asking for assistance on uncovering poachers in the area, surely if they talk nicely to the hunter about nothing bad going on in the vicinity, it will clear the human of any suspicion.

The human shruggs what he just heard off, he calls up Fiolette on being too naive, there's no such a thing as elven hunters appointed by the capital scouring for poachers, elfs and the capital don't do that; the way the human talks infuriates the caped elf, he is pissed about this rude human just coming into the forest and acting like he owns the place, tensions rise and the caped elf punches the intruder, but upon realizing Fiolette is holding him down as she shouts to stop the caped elf is shocked and distracted, why is she defending this human this strongly? The guy immediately sees the opening to strike back, and he packs a punch, immediately bringing the elf stranger down... the transformation wears off, it was Funil all along.

Funil walkes up, he was tuckered in while unconscious to rest easy, clearly it was Fiolette who accommodated him; he notices a room close by, the door is slightly open, Funil gets closer to see what it is going on and upon seeing it his world just crumbled underneath his feet, Fiolette and the human are having hot and heavy sex right then and there, how and when they got this close Funil desperately think to himself, she doesn't seem to be coerced at all, it is evidently consensual, the human devilish ask Fiolette what happened to keeping their voices down so Funil doesn't wake up, she says she can't help it, it feels so good, the human has thought Fiolette everything there is to please a man, he boasts she sure has gotten good at it.

Funil completely loses his will upon noticing Fiolette's bow besides the door, outside the room, it perfectly symbolizes what is happening right now; Funil reminisces the days they first met and then became close friends after Fiolette broke her original, they were so happy, it was Funil that made Fiorette's new bow, he didn't hang around the mines like other dwarves but he still was a master smith. It all dawned on Funil, he always loved Fiolette but never grew the courage to confess due belonging to different races, no matter how close they seemed Funil saw a barrier between them, meanwhile the tragic irony is that Fiolette sees no such barriers so a human got this close to her quite fast, her dream of coexisting was the perfect opportunity, the poacher acting like a bad boy doesn't set Fiolette off at all, it presses her buttons quite well in bed, being very receptive of what he taught her about sex.

Fade to Black...

An elven girl has fallen into a trap, she mouths off wondering why that part of the forest is filled with traps; a rough looking dwarf approaches the elf girl, thinking his trap was set off by the expected prey but it was not, the bearded dwarf question what she is doing there, get out he says, being able to tell right away she is a human-elf hybrid, after freeing her and quickly tending to her wounds he insists this is no place for the girl, a dragon has made its territory nearby and it is very fond of human blood, her mixed human blood will definitely set it off against her. The dragon has become a living deterrent against humans and a few others entering the forest.

The human-elf girl, however, says that's exactly why she is there, acting spunky she shows the bow taken from her mother, this immediately shocks the elder dwarf, he knows this bow very well... he made it, surely this much coincidence can't just happen like that, the dwarf thinks. The elf says she got away from home in secret, she heard this forest used to be her mother's home place, upon hearing her mother say she is worried about her former home being essentially blocked off due a dragon chasing people away it got her gutsy daughter to rush there and try to hunt it down to make her mom happy; the elder jaded dwarf scolds the girl, telling her to go back home, she shouldn't make her mother worried.

Now that she has been having a conversation with this dwarf for a while, the elf girl recalls her mother once telling her she had a great dwarf friend, they were so close but one day the dwarf suddenly disappeared without ever telling her where he went, they never saw each other again and later she moved away from the forest; many years have passed since, the human-elf girl say her mother always wished to see her dwarf friend again, to know if he is doing well, maybe you are this dwarf the eager elf girl asks; this unexpectedly moves the jaded dwarf to tears, the elf girl doesn't know why he suddenly started crying, just saying a grown dwarf crying is so not cool. THE END.

I mean, if FMC wanted to see the dwarf again, someone she supposedly considers a friend, maybe she shouldn’t have treated him like shit and put humans ahead of her so called ‘friend’… Pretty hypocritical FMC, and like @Wilfriback said, she didn’t tell the real reasons. And imo, for obvious reasons, even her daughter would’ve thought she was a terrible friend
