Definitely gives off early-2000s erotic webcomic vibes, like I could imagine this sharing a webring with about a half dozen Blender comics and a collection of scanned pencil sketches five years away from being picked up by Slipshine.
eddyhyde, I love that comparison. The goal was always to make Sophie Spare feel like something you'd accidentally discover at 2 AM while hopping between webrings, sketch galleries, and monster comics.
To fully commit to the bit, every release includes a collectible digital art toy style "Monster of the Month" sticker that goes onto a growing collector's board. By the end of the series, it'll look like the kind of bizarre download section an old webcomic site would've proudly displayed in 2004.
Thanks! That old-school webcomic energy is exactly what I was hoping people would feel.
