Published and distributed by one of the official Osamu Tezuka fanclubs, Mushi no Shirase, on October 1st of 1975. With that said, this particular zine is a supplement to the mainline correspondence works that was given out at a screening. Edited and published by Kazuya Kondo (近藤和也) sometimes known and billed as Kazue Kondo, who actually worked at Mushi Pro on several mid to late 1960s productions.

With that said, this zine features xeroxes of the collected and otherwise uncollected works of Osamu Tezuka's Astro Boy, namely (Atom: Past and Present Story) using the omitted parts that ran in the Sankei Shimbun. I've never seen this particular work or book go to market, so this is possibly the first time it's ever been scanned. Each rewritten and even re-arranged part is introduced with a short essay.

As written in the bylines, the FC intended to publish another volume at Comiket 1 (December 21st, 1975, Nissho hall), but its uncertain if this came to pass.

"There are still well over a hundred pages of completely omitted material beyond what is included here. I hope to reproduce those sections as well in a cleaner and more complete form when the opportunity arises. When that happens, I will announce it through "Comiket" and similar venues."

~「アトム今昔物語」冒頭単行本省略部分~
“Atom: Past and Present Story — introductory section omitted from the collected book edition.”

Do you remember the final episode of the TV series Astro Boy? Atom Konjaku Monogatari (“Atom: Past and Present Story”) was actually written as a continuation of that ending. However, when it was later collected into book form, the opening section was omitted and rewritten into a different version. Because of that, I tried creating this reproduction from newspaper copies of the time. Please take a look inside and see how the story originally continued. Comparing it with the tankōbon (collected-volume) version should make it even more interesting.

Compared against the Asahi Sonorama edition volume 6 and the Shogakukan edition volume 9.

Source Material Included:

「鉄腕アトム」(『サンケイ新聞』連載)より
From Tetsuwan Atomu (Astro Boy) as serialized in the Sankei Shimbun newspaper.

The issues reproduced are:

(1) S.42.1.24 (January 24, 1967)
~(44) S.42.3.15 (March 15, 1967)
(646) 最終回 S.44.2.28 (February 28, 1969) — Final episode
予告記事 S.42.1.15 (January 15, 1967) — Preview article

In addition, there are other works that serve as continuations to the television series finale, including Atom Mirai Himitsu Deluxe, serialized in Shōgaku Yonensei (Fourth Grade Elementary School) in 1972, and another Tetsuwan Atom story published in the September 1975 issue.

Does that mean there are three different futures for Atom after he flew into the Sun?

The pages are cut like so with xeroxed cut outs from the actual newspaper - this was not serialized in any other book or manga but a newspaper, and even so, it wasn't collected or seen anymore post the late 70s. They are presented in context in this doujinshi as a way for fans, who were unsatisfied with the ending cliffhanger of the original TV version of Astro Boy, to reconcile that. The aspect of canon and headcanon were important even to fans almost 50 years ago, clearly. The actual constructed book is 5 x 10 inches.
