Come on，a bad ending?

Completely out of left field, no explanation what just happened... Killing off characters off-screen is very unsatisfying if it's this relevant to the overall narrative IMHO.

I think this mf likes to leave the viewers bitter. Non likes ugly fucks yet thats the only thing he makes nowdays and now we get bad endings.

So not a bad ending in the traditional sense or out of left field per say, but I suppose to give my best guess/explanation is that: while very, very rare in modern times a baby and mother can still die during child birth. In this case I'm not what exactly sure what the moral of story was in this case, just pointing out that this is still something that could actually happen.
