@akx69 Mate, hate to break it to you but it's not a trend, for some it's a minimum privacy necessity after one sees how internet weirdos can behave. ^^'
If ppl on the internet would actually be behave normally through the screen and erocos wouldn't be that taboo of a topic - these wouldn't be there and I wouldn't have ever used them.

I will say the same thing as always - no matter if it's stickers, emojis or ai faces - I hate them all the same but cropping all images on a photoset, especially where ears/horns are a integral part of a persona... kinda misses the point for me so here we are. :/

Neither I nor Shizuka care about being pixel-perfect, so I just take a character concept and run with it - as long as she looks cute and/or sexy it's a win in my book.

Is the wig different? Well yes, I self-sewn it from 2b-like short base + sewn onto it 2 wigs worth of longer hair sections vs having single white wig with ends dipped or sprayed(I assume?).
Is it still wonky? Also yes. here I do have to still git gud cuz regardless if I used an iron or steamer I couldn't get these f* top bangs in check. XD

Is the outfit different? Also yes, specifically self-sewn our own design over two weekends using some mesh and fold-over elastic.
To me fits the char's vibe, perfectly wraps boobs with no over-squeeze and has a tactical crotch seam doubling as a natural censor. *visibly vibing*

And are the horns different? Yes. Cuz I hand-modelled them in Blender based on in-game screenshots and 3D printed them.
Are they missing the connection part between smaller and bigger horn? Yes, purposefully as I made a wire rig to hold them in place under the wig and I didn't want to commit on some layout before printing.
Are they too black? Yes, cuz I f* up paint layering and the blue highlights underneath barely show through if ever.

And no, despite my wording here, IRL I'm not salty as your opinion is perfectly valid and in no way I can assume that ANY viewer would normally consider what happens before we post "a picture", even if I do a BTS post or a blog post beforehand cuz nobody is obligated to do research before commenting - which is kinda fair. *shrugs*
Such is life and this convo kinda feeds back into @akx69 topic of "y censorship" as a very mild example.

Just to preface - sadly no, the argument of "but you can buy premade cos!" is not valid most of the time, 'cuz so far every time I did that I was disappointed with outfit's quality, fit and longevity, even if I splurged on it vs picking the cheapest. Looks great. You're both doing a good job, the creativity and fun shines through.

I really appreciate your openness and transparency with your process, and enjoy the end product all the more knowing it's that somewhat tangible, tied to real people who are interacting with the community.

The face censoring absolutely makes sense, and although I'd rather see a models face in its entirety, I'd prefer the creator be safe and comfortable. I personally prefer using the anime-style image over the top to just a heavy blur or a solid colour blob as at least it's a completing image of the character being portrayed.

As for being pixel perfect, honestly, I much the more stylistic choices. Making a perfect recreation in absolutely impressive and a unique artform within itself. But if it ends up using a very heavy amount of make-up, post process editing, lighting trickery etc, it ends up steering into uncanny valley for me.
