The "Sword is too heavy" trope is really throwing me off, a well made sword weighs like 1.2 to 3 kg (around 3.5 pounds), they are not heavy by any stretch - is there something other magical class-related reason that is preventing him/her from picking up the sword?

First: Yes... but I wrote this before I knew swords were that light (SellSwordsArts in Tiktok taught me). Swords, and good swords at that, are not readily available to me.
