A blue print copy book made by the Osamu Tezuka F.C. known as 'Tokyo', albeit not the main Tokyo chapter. This is the very first introductory issue, or volume 0, published namely to garner interest among the fanclub itself and reach new members. This particular work is relatively interesting in that it was printed via the blueprint method vs traditional offset printing, showing the cost cutting involved to create mass amounts. This particular book was acquired from M during my recent Hyogo trip and was in storage since around 1980 to 1981 - many books acquired from this particular box were very water damaged or nearly destroyed, so many hours of editing have gone into restoring them.
This particular issue namely highlights fanclub activities, letters and correspondence from members requesting information, friendship and more. Much of the art used is traced or hand drawn and rendered with blueprint ink. By 1979, the fanclub had issues with membership attendance and manuscript submissions and was republished as 'Metropolis' before disbanding prior to Tezuka's death in 1989.
This work is exceedingly primitive and was scanned as found - many pages are so aged that they're illegible as is and many were dry rotted. An initial scan was done whereas the book is now stored in an archival dry OPP bag and is being housed in my climate controlled warehouse in its own box. I don't believe I will be able to scan it again - all pages are accounted for as found including the slip that was in this book - its uncertain if its original to the original manuscript as its photocopied. This is a list and a call a book exchange / want list among Tezuka fans in the fanclub.
The line about not recognizing someone as a "Chihiro fan" (チー坊ファン) is a playful joke aimed at readers. "チー坊" ("Chībō") was an affectionate nickname used by fans for Osamu Tezuka, and the club itself is the Chihiroji Osamu Fan Club Tokyo.
★Scanning services are available! Simply send your inquiry to any of the contacts above and I will get back to you in 24 hours at best. Discord is @Adoggoart
There is a mix of hand writing and blue print copied text in this book - depending on the page, you can tell upon looking up close. Pages were scanned as found with minimal editing sans for cleaning tear marks and the dry rotting.
