@reikendar Based on the dialog at the end of the chapter where they are "finally taking on an S-rank question" and in ch2 they are on an S-Rank quest, I agree that this is most likely a ch 1.5.

Though its hard to say for sure since looking back at ch2, the afterword as the sword guys level at 17 , which is the same as it is in this chapter.

@Zubenaigenubi I don't think the guy is ever going to level up if you jump to level 1,700 pretty much nothing would give you experience any more.
