Is there a prior work that he's made to explain the current canon? Sara Bellum as mayor. Mojo and Sedusa seemingly redeemed. Keane is way too thin and tall though. Homegirl should thick as fuck. A pear shaped shortstack queen.

Sedusa is using her false name, Ima, again. The professor calls her Ima and she doesn't correct him. But Sara on the phone calls her Goodlady and she says that Sara must be mistaken. Interested to see where he takes this concept. This show has already established that when push comes to shove, the professor will side with and protect his girls. If Sedusa is pulling a long con, I don't see how it's going to work when literally every major character is aware of exactly who she is and her MO.

What the fuck is up with Bubbles though? She doesn't talk at all and is covering her mouth in two out of her three appearances. Is Ima already messing with her behind the scenes when no one's looking? Another Tristan/Monique situation?

In Powerpuff Girls 2016 they ship off Miss Bellum without a single shit given and no further appearances for the next one hundred and twelve episodes, so my best guess is this is Swain swinging back. As for Mojo he turns less destructive and just sabotages the Professor rather than trying to murderize him ever other episode, so not that much of a stretch he'd start working together. Sedusa I've got no idea, she doesn't even appear. Maybe that's exactly why they chose her.

I have to say, Swain is doing very well in making Sedusa give off the uncanny vibe. That it's not just the characters feeling uncomfortable with her, but also the reader.

I mean, it's only in uncanny because we know the character so well. (Although page 9 is some seriously nice creepy composition) Sedusa is only featured in two episodes as the primary and solo antagonist and both times she takes up a false persona and seduces a male character in order to get an advantage to commit crimes. The first time it's the Ima Goodlady shtick, and the second time she kidnaps Sara Bellum and takes her place so she could case crime scenes and linger after the fact without being suspicious. Swain probably won't make her simply repeat this gimmick in this adult fanfiction. @BIRS2024 is probably right. The professor or somebody's brainwashing her. Maybe Him. Although considering Swain's penchant for extremely dysfunctional family dynamics... some seriously fucked up shit is rolling down the line. I'm still keeping my eye on Bubbles. She'd be the one the MOST receptive to a reformed Sedusa trying to play a genuine mother role. Homegirl saw something and is afraid to speak on it. Or...

Huh, so I guess the Professor has either implanted Sedusa with a chip in her head or her collar acts as an inhibitor. Either way, it seems he's locked Sedusa into having a split personality between her villainous side and her disguise persona.

That terrifies me more considering the Professor's intelligence and how it's canon that he could do a lot of damage via misguided good intentions or by accident.

We assumed that the girls were uncomfortable because it was obviously Medusa, one of their known opps playing Mommy Dearest. But maybe the girls DO know exactly what's going on. Buttercup might have been trying to say "guinea pig" before Blossom cut her off. Using mind control technology to forcibly "rehabilitate" villains. This would explain Mojo as well. We possibly got some intense mind-control/mind break rape shit about to happen, that the girls are forced to hear because of their super hearing.

Minor Nitpick, I just re-watched the episodes of the PPG that featured Sedusa.

I think Swain forgot that Sedusa and even her 'Ima" form has a nose. Even in the PPG Anime version of her, has a nose.

Yet, I'm alright with the lack of a nose in the comic. Since Sedusa design can make you forget that she has one. Her 'cute' button nose is just so subtle. It's a minor thing, yet it did make me go back and watch the show for a bit.

@fefuentes2000 The issue might also include Utonium knowing that the relationship is ultimately fake since he's manipulating Sedusa to have new personalities. Scientifically, he could get the identity mix right, but his own morals as a scientist, father, and human being? That could be the "wrong" feeling that's eating within him.

Utonium is a single father who desires a companion and the Powerpuffs do seem to want a mother even though they're happy with just their father/creator. I wonder if Utonium will have a deeper conversation with the girls, or at least with Ms. Bellum, about his relationship attempts?

Violating her autonomy and agency like this, makes the whole endeavor meaningless. This isn't rehabilitation, it's brainwashing. Even it totally works, you've just removed one villain by creating another one in yourself, doing something arguably even worse then Sedusa's usual MO of property crimes.

Maybe Sedusa submitted herself to this process, and the professor is trying to solve it the only way he can, with crazy 90s cartoon science. But if Sedusa did submit herself to this, she could literally just, you know, do her time in jail, attempt restitution for her crimes, and just try to be a better person without being brainwashed. It would have been cool to see Sedusa trying to be a regular person and have to deal with the justified mistrust of the girls and everybody else.

Honestly I like stories with ethical and moral dilemmas, it makes you think about what you believe in and why you believe in it beyond the surface level. I'm glad none of the characters are morally compromised for the sake of the story, because I like stories that "play" with the personalities of the character and not just change them beyond recognition. Its too early to say if this story is good or bad, but I will say it got my attention with this interesting premise. What if Sedusa love bombed the Professor so good he was essentially 'Chad widowed" and it made him do something slightly crazy. Also, nobody knows how to react to the situation so they are just letting it happen and hoping for the best.
The obviously cure to the Professors Unhappiness problem is if Sedusa loves him back, and I'm not opposed to that, but I would like this story to take a more interesting direction.

The artist was too lazy to make an interesting PPG comic that honored the source material so they went with the easy option of having the Professor be in a relationship with Sedusa again despite their history. I honestly wouldn't be shocked if they got it the idea and wrote the script in ChatGPT and made just enough corrections so that the audience wouldn't notice

I wonder if Sedusa isn't the only AI (robot? bioroid?) the Professor made, as the Mojo Jojo on page 5 may also be this. Although the Professor making copies of all the villains and having them live with him is still odd.

Sedusa also takes it well that the Professor effectively cloned her.

I'm guessing the plot will involve Sedusa escaping and replacing the clone.

It might have been better to divide the dialogue of the conversation on pg 20 into one or two more picture on the page. Just to get more perspective shots of each characters emotions. That way the conversation wont feel like an exposition dump. I found it funny how Sedusa called the professor a coward and I would have liked it more if the line got its own comic panel.
