I love how y'all are complaining when you can literally ask someone who can read moonrunes if it's a good translation. Spoiler: he will tell you it's a very possible and good translation. If there wasn't this "rough translation" tag it wouldn't be 2 stars but 4 stars; such hypocrites. I would understand if it was trash mtl with trash editing as I did early, but it's not and you can see it pretty well. smh.
just cross-checked with a japanese reader and it's a good translation, y'all are such dummies lmfao
@tiaunknown That’s why I’m wondering is this really a commission for a rough translation? You could just leave a clear comment below acknowledging it’s a good translation instead of running your mouth all over the place. Well, what else can you expect from shameless MTL worshippers who have ruined so many great doujins?
@SuPanda I have a friend who can read in jap and I ask him to check if my TL was good. I translate with GPT using specific prompts I made with him to get the exact meanings of each word, even if it's weird. Basically I get a word definition AND meaning, even explaining if it has any slang to it AND it correlates with the CONTEXT + I check on it, adapt the naturalisation myself AND ask him if it's good (sometimes he can go astray but I know if he goes astray since I had the word per word meaning + a 'close-in' translation, which is the most close translation possible to the japanese even if it's weird in english) + my friend proofread afterwards. When I said "just cross-checked with a japanese reader" I mean another japanese reader other than my friend.
I did make trash MTL before and I agree. I only used a website to make it and did not make real effort in them, even if it took me quite some time to get them tl-ed. But I started photoshop after and tried my best to get the best translation AND editing possible on my new works. I'm on a doujin that already took me +25 hours and I'm not even at half of it (it has hundreds of chapters). For now I didn't get any commission, it's all free and done on my spare time. A lot of my time is on doing the translation thing with GPT AND editing/typesetting. I can even remake some pages to make them more in flow with what author wanted. All of this being said, I hope y'all won't judge a book by its old covers.
Well, what else can I expect from a Twitter-brained gooner who doesn't understand that experience comes with time, especially when I'm doing this purely out of passion for now??
PS: Those trashy old works WILL get revamped, that's why I'm not DISOWNING them. I'd rather rework them than pretend they never existed.
