Z4turn: the number of such bad uploaders I have added in my uploaders blacklist says it’s not just you. Alas, it’s limited to 100 max, so I can’t add them all (I’m at ~67, now)
Adding “other:"rough translation$"” to the hidden tags can help to filter them out (but not all of the galleries marked as such are slop MTL, though).
The real question that should be asked: Are people doing it on purpose? Or are people generally mad at the lack of manpower or care for translating H-doujins in general.
As I've been saying, AI is unethical. But people hate being powerless. So hey.
Z4turn: yes, it has. I'm relatively sure it's just third world retards, though; they think 'I'm helping' and that AI is some magic tool that can magically make things readable (spoiler: AI is nowhere near ready for uses like this), and since they don't speak English themselves, they automatically think the finished product is perfectly fine, when in fact it is not (I've read a few AI English translations and they ALWAYS read awkwardly; the point gets across but it's clunky).
The problem is that the policies enacted by the mods don't really do anything to stop this. They'd do well to rethink things, though admittedly it seems like an outright ban would be difficult to enforce unless a watermark is present in the pics or the uploader admits its MTL.
Hectotane: it's one thing to run a book you've wanted to see translated through an AI translation site so you can have a rough idea of what's going on. It's quite another to post the results on here, claim you did it yourself, and having the nerve to act like you're doing the community a favor (in spite of the clear and present dislike of MTLs). ALL of these posts are the latter. I'll admit to having run a couple things through an AI, but I'm not gonna post them for the reasons I outlined above.
