I've wondered the same too Starhunter... it could be as it adds an extra dimension to the transformation process, caters to converting the (sterotypically) dominant to submissive in terms of a gender change or it could be repressed homosexuality of the artist/commisioner in that as it was a guy but now its a girl, thus one could consider themselves 'straight' during the act of using the picture to relieve oneself even though the knowledge it was a male and technically still is due to foreknowledge of the 'user' or it could simply be artistic preference as the female form is more intresting to the majority, thus catering artistically to both sides of the coin, as it were
