it's kinda ambiguous, as if to give the author the choice on whether he continues or not. Cuz tbh despite the blood, the Orc is not covered in wounds himself, but it could just be they didn't want to draw him all cut up as he's dying too.

As for Laycey, it's kinda sad she was opening herself up, just a little, to a customer who seemed to show so much interest in her, only for him to confess he won't return, so she has no choice but to throw away whatever feelings she had and get back to her miserable life.
