I bought this artbook because the artist got quite popular for that “contrast teacher” illustration and even had a figure released. But honestly, after getting it in hand, it was pretty disappointing for a ¥3000 book.
1. Binding: The book uses staple-style binding instead of glued spine binding, so the middle pages open awkwardly and leave gaps. Definitely not as good as proper glued binding.
2. Paper Quality: The paper is quite light and thin, and since it’s an A4-size book, the edges of the cover tend to curl up — really hard to keep flat, especially in humid southern climates.
3. Artwork Quality: The illustrations look decent from afar but fall apart on closer inspection — sloppy coloring and composition. You can check the artist’s Fanbox posts for reference. The backgrounds are often just one flat color layer, and the characters have very few shading layers. When printed large on A4 paper, these flaws become even more noticeable, making the viewing experience pretty underwhelming.
4. Content: Many rough sketches from the “pose series” (20+ pages) were directly included, and some images are even repeated (check my full video in channel for details). Honestly, including that many roughs for a ¥3000 book feels more disappo for disappointed buyers.
Originally, I bought it to keep as a collection piece, but after scanning it, I quickly listed it for resale.

Thank you so much for your recent uploads and especially your commentary on the works Pokedo!
I have to agree with your criticism. I absolutely LOVE keso-senseis work, it's just unfortunate that it didn't translate that well into physical products. 3000 yen is a tremendous amount for an art book, even for those sold at events like comiket and those often come with special items. So the quality also has to match the price. I can just imagine the disappointment you must have felt.
Still, please know that your efforts are well appreciated here and I am looking forward to your next endeavors!
