How's this...

Even though Andrew never went far in college, he's always been lucky with high stakes gambling. That is, he was able to support both him and his girlfriend (Emma) without needing a job, until his luck ran out one night. This downward spiral quickly led to Andrew owing some shady loan sharks a LOT of money, under threat of losing major body parts.

Clara, the c*nt, is Emma's old best friend. She gladly took in Andrew and Emma to hide them from the dangerous debt-collectors. However, when Andrew continues to rub Clara the wrong way, she decides to help Andrew dodge the debt-collectors 'all-the-way', with a seemingly 'fool-proof' (but sinister) method.

Is this the only reason why she's being sinister? Or does she have an ulterior motive? Inquiring minds want to know? Stay tuned!

Yeah thats right I remember the dept and all that but it seems like there is (or should be) waaayyy more to this than just rubbing her the wrong way. I mean she is literally trying to kill Andrew off, if thats literally all it took thats a wild choice for the author lol Like did he off her mom or something? Or is she just psychotic?

You're absolutely correct- as Clara has some dark family history, and that she has found a possible angle to take care of several birds with her sinister stone (or way).

I added an extra line to the synopsis above.

Only parts of the 'plan' has been revealed, as well as Clara's aunt, who seems clearly involved. But the author is dripping the rest (for added suspense) thus far. But it's clear that Clara is manipulating Mia's transformation to help exact some type of revenge, likely for an uncle who died while in jail (unfairly?).
