I get the feeling that this was AI/MTL.
There's inconsistencies with the names, like "Akiru" and "Achiru".
And either a lack of proper grammar or mislocation of text.
Example, page 23: First Text Bubble from the top: "Or am I a man?" to the second text bubble below it: "Am I a woman,"

So reading it, it becomes "Or am I a man? Am I a woman," which just reads off.

Obviously, it's either "Am I a woman, or am I a man?" (switch the text bubbles) or "Am I a man, or am I a woman?" (move "or" to the second text bubble)

This is why Editors is an important job, both for translation works, but also for book writing and news media. They keep things consistent and check for mistakes.
