A story filled to the brim with regrets; Haru Sonoda has come to school to witness something awful that has turned into a common occurrence, his childhood friend Shizuku Uzaki has become a target of severe bullying, everyone has been talking around the rumors that Shizuku is a total slut, with her face all over the web, she even does Papakatsu apparently, no way; Shizuku has been isolated from everyone at this point, Haru only looks from afar despite being her childhood friend, and that doesn’t go unnoticed by his buddy who playfully teases him he is being obvious, so Haru immediately looks away.

Shit, Haru is stuck in a rut, he is worried about Shizuku but he feels like can’t do anything, but he wants, he has to! Haru has appointed himself as Shizuku’s protector, hoping to defend her, he just hasn’t made his move yet; Haru felt he has to make up to Shizuku since that one dreaded day in middle school where Haru caved into his classmates teasing about he and Shizuku being a couple back then, Haru scoffed and told right on everyone’s face that he wouldn’t ever date Haru, a girl like her? No way! To everyone it was banter, but to Shizuku that was very serious, her face made it clear. Now in high school Haru and Shizuku drifted apart, that day has been eating Haru inside ever since, the memory keeps resurfacing more often after Shizuku has become a bullying target in class.

Meanwhile, Shizuku is visibly distraught, sometimes messaging this alleged boyfriend of hers called Ryo, Shizuku asks for help, she is so scared! Ryo, though, tells her to chill, yes, the rumors aren’t only about Shizuku being a massive slut that even sells herself, it apparently is all under Shizuku’s own boyfriend’s direction, this college guy named Ryo allegedly loves to see Shizuku with other guys, he has tainted her all over for his own amusement. These rumors are too strong, it seems to be very after all, girls call Shizuku “bitch-chan” while the boys joke if they should take a ride as well, and some have already it seems, laughing out, calling each other “hole-bros” / “igloo-bros”. Haru fucking loses it on his buddy once he casually showed Ryo’s web page where he shares Shizuku’s escapades without care, he just tried to show Haru that Shizuku is a slut after all, sorry man… however, Haru had an erection upon looking at Shizuku’s online activities.

It’s not like Haru didn’t know, he was just trying to hold it in, yes, Haru is fomenting this fantasy where he will save Shizuku anytime now, he has been following Ryo’s page very closely, just bidding his time; Haru makes up with his friend, he didn’t mean any harm. Then, it seems a chance has presented itself, one of the main girl bullies was directly harassing Shizuku, wondering what’s up with that silly keychain… Shizuku is still messaging Ryo, saying how she can’t keep up with this anymore, she doesn’t what to come to school anymore… but Haru finally took a stand, he told her to stop messing with Shizuku, he defiantly takes Shizuku away from class, telling her they should just skip, laughing out, saying they are running away!

Shizuku can’t believe this, it has been so long since she and Haru spoke to each other, she has trouble not calling him Sonoda at first, as if she can’t call him Haru anymore; but Haru is trying to make Shizuku feel at ease, yes, trying to say nothing between them has changed, Haru claims that Shizuku is the same person to him, always nice, always cheerful, always pure… but Shizuku says she has changed, she casually tells Haru she is fucking around, only 5000 yen a pop, isn’t it funny? Shizuku claims the guys seem to love doing to her, everyone likes it but they still treat her like this as soon as they get out of bed; NO! Haru tries to rebuke Shizuku’s self-deprecation pit, still trying to act as if they are in position to just resume their pure friendship, but Shizuku unexpectedly makes an advance on Haru.

Yes, Shizuku has undeniably changed, she is thanking Haru sticking up for her by seducing him, surely that is the proper action to take, see? Haru has gotten hard, Shizuku is confident in what she has learned. The thing is, Haru could not deny his innermost desires, he has been trying to hold onto the sweet memories of Shizuku from their past as he was hunted by that terrible memory of shrugging Shizuku off as she ever being his girlfriend, but the dark truth is that Haru also wished to be the one would could have gotten a taste of Shizuku too, deep down he was jealous of this Ryo guy, and those other guys, Haru and Shizuku are childhood friends who looked they would be together eventually, Haru has been beating himself over saying that stupid shit back in middle school.

Well then, looks like Haru and Shizuku are about to do it now, but it is never so simple, Haru is struggling between his desires and the wish to really save Shizuku after all, he can’t bear to see Shizuku acting this lewd, shit, Haru feels bad for not being by Shizuku’s side so she could remain pure, thus, Haru’s desires is kept at bay, he reasons that fucking Shizuku too would just make him like every other guy that uses her, Haru wants Shizuku to go back to how she used to be. Shizuku doesn’t understand why Haru is cutting her off like this, was it something she said? All boys like it when she acts this way, so why?

Haru thought he treated Shizuku right by refusing her at the last second, but Shizuku skipped school entirely afterwards, naturally everyone else just kept piling on the bullying, musing about Shizuku finally taking her slutdom towards the next step so school became an afterthought. Haru feels even worse now, he must sort things out with Shizuku so he goes to her house. Once he gets there, Haru is all apologetic, he didn’t mean to discard Shizuku, he wants to be with her beyond such superficial reasons… what!? Haru saw that Shizuku answered the door looking all messy, with a guy right behind her! Shizuku acts as if this is all normal, just being sorry for not answering right away, she invites Haru inside.

It’s Ryo the infamous boyfriend from college, the guy is super nonchalant, he doesn’t mind Haru being there at all, Ryo comes out clean right away, he is the one who made Shizuku become this way, such a diligent slut, he loves sharing her with all the guys but Ryo feels he has to clear a misunderstanding here, he noticed Haru thinks Ryo is making Shizuku sad or something, whoa there buddy, Shizuku loves being with him he boasts, come see how we do it so you can check it for yourself. Shizuku and Ryo immerse themselves in passion, she really into it, showring him with praise, yes it dawns on Haru that while he was nurturing a fantasy about one day reconnecting with Shizuku ever since he stupidly broke her little heart, another guy swooped in and made Shizuku wholly his, and when Shizuku was being bombarded with bullying over what she became under Ryo he still too long to act, in fact, it might’ve been already too late since now it is clear Shizuku honestly likes being around Ryo, the shame it brought her does not erase the fact Shizuku feels wanted by him. Haru is devastated over this realization, but Ryo simply directs Shizuku to please Haru, gotta make him feel welcome.

Haru is lost In thoughts but his dick is more honest, again he is hard, this savior fantasy is met by the reality that Haru cannot run from what he wishes to do with Shizuku, and Ryo liking it and telling Shizuku to please Haru only makes him realize even further that he was truly racing to play second fiddle now; but Haru only has his wish to “save” Shizuku completely destroyed once Ryo shifts his supportive sharing of Shizuku to now make her say plainly and clearly who Shizuku loves the most, who she wants to have babies with? It’s over, Haru left Shizuku’s house, he gave up, he feels Shizuku has been fully taken, Haru doesn’t think he can undo all of what Ryo did to Shizuku, and he still getting hard at what Shizuku has become made Haru doubt if he even has the right to. Ryo casually reaches towards Shizuku’s cherished keychain that once meant a lot for her, the remaining memory of her times with Haru, Ryo finds the little thing amusing, oh is that so? Shizuku just casually tells Ryo he can take it, doesn’t matter anyway…

Afterwards Shizuku quit school for good, her time on social media increased, so much new material for Haru to browse over, especially now that Haru too lost himself and stopped going to school as well, but even that ends as Shizuku’s page stopped getting uploads, what happened Haru wonders. Turns out Ryo got tired of Shizuku, he simply says this is it, let’s end it as Shizuka still is mesmerized by him, wondering what’s wrong… Years have passed, Haru never got Shizuku out of his mind even as an adult, then as Haru is casually browsing his phone something catches his attention, wait, is that Uzaki? (he shifted to her family name, showing how distant things have become)… nah, must’ve been his imagination, or that’s what Haru tells himself, his brief nervousness and shameless erection implies he might now, deep down. In the end, we see what it appears to be adult Shizuku walking with a man by her side, possibly Ryo, with a baby in tow, all smiles but the curative on Shizuku’s cheek seems to tell something… THE END.

Quite the tragic netorare story, Haru truly was stuck in the past, and when he finally acted Shizuku became something Haru couldn’t face head-on anymore, can he be faulted for running away? Should he have fought harder and be the actual savior Haru fantasized as? Should have he reconnected with Shizuku way earlier before a complete stranger that was Ryo got in her life? Or was the game already over by the time he carelessly broke Shizuku’s heart back in mddlle school? The very title of this doujin tells Haru believes he should have stuck by Shizuku, then she would have been his.

At any case, the last page truly makes one wonder how messed up Shizuku’s life is now, a smiling mother with a curative on her cheek is some clear visual storytelling for a beaten wife who either loves the man who abuses her, and doesn’t want to run away, or she is smiling because that’s what she has to do in order to survive and keep her baby safe.
