Yes it is, at least it has been very obvious in the last 1-2 years. While Shexyo used to be a regular artist he did dabble in AI early on (an infamous android 18 piece) but it became very obvious when his style started to change every few months and then it just went full on with the typical AI slop look. But at that point he already had a big enough following and he did the smartest move: just be quiet about it and not engage with anyone on social media ever again, while just collecting the bag from people that don't care either way.
It's a silly situation since he did posses practical skills and you could see his art improve over time. Yeah sure there was the occasional tracing stuff with Cutesexyrobott but other than that he was building a following just by doing his own thing. It's a shame. It would be disingenuous to deny that he did make good stuff by himself.
