Yeah, I think I'm going to need to ask for someone to help and give me an explanation for what the hell I just read (still enjoyed Dowman Sayman's work as usual, though).

It almost feels like the pages are out of order.

Still, good stuff.

...aren't all the characters in this girls?
If that's the case...how could the one couple get a child...

An uplifting and happy story, if not jovial; the "three months" seeming like "an eternity," and the "love at first sight" both serve to highlight young love and to give a hint as to its temporary nature, but Dowman Sayman proves a masterful weaver of emotions once more by interspersing superstition and utilizing it to show, instead, its potential longevity and that passion, above all else, is a part of the human experience.

To explain:

The story takes place during Valentine's Day, at a high school where a student who supposedly ate chocolate and died there haunts the premises, specifically a specific room during Valentine's Day. It is broken up into the perspectives of all the characters that were explicitly introduced in the manga, starting with Hana, a transfer student. As Picksbro notes, the pages may not appear to be in "order" as a story would normally would (by means of a stream of consciousness, as in through the thoughts and point of view of only one main character), but that is where the illusion of disorder is made. The pages are arranged, instead, chronologically. As Hana departs to keep with Yuniko's rendezvous, Shioni talks to Hazuki. Shioni and Hazuki go the rooftop, Shioni pushes Fukuzawa off the roof, Shioni talks with Hazuki about ghost hunting, Fukuzawa winds up in the nurse's office to hear the story of Valentine's Day, and then Shioni goes with Hazuki to discuss the finer points of female anatomy in the supposedly haunted room (which turns out to legitimately be haunted and watched over by a spirit of a girl.)

The story concludes with Yuniko reminiscing about the first time Hana introduced herself, all the while being within her embrace, bound together by what can be perceived to be Cupid's arrow. The symbolism of each item presented and the implications of each perspective's endings would both be entirely different topics altogether, so I will leave it at that.

I still am looking forward to Voynich Hotel vol. 2.

Dude, that's not really literary analysis, that's a synopsis.

The bit with the ship that was found abandoned with a mug of still-steaming chocolate inside really reminds me of the beginning of Stardust Crusaders. It's wtf as usual with Dowman.
