This is a rather sad and philosophical story of wishing for someone to love you for who you really are and lost of identity.

I find this story sad and philosophical.
Reimu the Yukkuri has a kind father/owner except her father doesn't see her as Reimu the Yukkuri but Reika the Human, seeing her as a replacement for his own daughter who either passed away or left him.

The fact she's just a replacement and him not acknowledging who she really is hurts Reimu in the inside that she tries to kill herself, hoping her father will see her for who she really is; a yukkuri and not a human.

Sadly, it was all for naught as her father, still blinded by his love for his daughter, still sees Reimu as Reika. Realizing her father will never love the real her, Reimu says goodbye to her real identity and reluctantly accepts being Reika the Human.

This Comic is quite radical; but what if we turned it on it's ear. If Reimu is an Witch Girl Hybrid switched for the Human Girl Reika whom was the eldest daughter whom did live a few years but died tragically and which Reimu as the youngest daughter had to live up to her standards as her father always doted on Reika. What if one day Reimu stood infront of a mirror with an witchcraft book and was sucked into that mirror where she was transformed into a Witch Girl Hybrid. Mother and the eldest daughter that very night died in a car accident. Her father mourned the wife and his eldest daughter's death, we are only seeing the point of view by Reimu, she is the twin of the eldest daughter now with the Witch Girl Hybriding. She wants her father's attentions of course however now the hybrid twin of her elder twin is an emotional letdown, reality is very painful if you forget whom you once were. This would be the sad irony if the father had gone abit mad in his grief and forgot about his youngest daughter and his youngest daughter had caused the wife's and eldest's daughter's death. It would make more sense in the image of the pet shop as the youngest daughter believed she had been sold to the father there. She has obviously distanced herself from her wanting her eldest daughter and mother killed.
