I heard it from someone who knows more about the story. Another thing to consider is that the white horse demon is killed at the end of the first episode, so it wouldn't make sense for him to be alive here if this didn't take place in the past.

The only thing that really disturbed me about this episode is how cheap and weak animation looked, proportions all over the place. I barely made it to end credits.

The consensus from hongfire is that ep.2 is an extension of the flashback in ep1 where she's raped by the horse dude who gets killed at the end of ep.1.

Not a very fappable show - bad animation and horrible censorship and the ending makes about as much sense as a Wookie on Endor.

People, people, let's try to be RATIONAL here, like CIVILIZED people.

First of all, it was obvious that this episode was a PREQUEL. Why? In the beginning of the actual fucking scene, the Brain Jacker (WORST NAME EVER btw) calls the horse by "Gerald" and goes on, saying how he betrayed her people. The horse then reveals that his actual name is Pegasus (another bad name) and that he intended to betray her from the very beginning. Therefore, this is right after he betrayed her, and way before the episode 1 takes place. Also, the very beginning scene where the girl blasts the pig monsters away, I'm sure that happened later and the torture scene was a flashback. This is based on the fact that she was crying when she was blasting them off, implying that she got raped the hell out of her a few hours ago. The animation staff just wanted to switch the chronological order because they wanted "that scene" to be the ending.

Now, let's talk about "that scene", a.k.a., THE ENDING. DId she die? Well, I am very certain that this episode is a prequel, so if she dies here, episode 1 would not have made sense, so logically, no she's not dead. However, there are some fishy stuff going on. Let's analyze the "instruments" that the horse showed her near the end. That image/GIF is unfortunately not in this gallery, so I'll try to explain them briefly. After the EPIC FISTING, the horse states that this is merely the beginning, and shows her several torture devices, wondering whether she can handle them without DYING. Very scary. Once she sees these devices, she gets freaked out and begs the horse for her life, saying that she will become his obedient slave. She even sucks his foot/hoof, saying that she will become an obedient sow. What a WHORE! However, the horse, like a true villain, says that he'll still use the tools on her in order to strengthen their "bond." What a bad ass! And the episode ends with her screaming and a LOT of sound including the sound of DRILLING and FLESH RIPPING OFF.

From the sounds alone, they definitely killed her or at least cut off some of her body parts. Let's talk about the tools they showed off thus. The tools shown are: Wooden horse, IRON MAIDEN, whips (not sure), hammer (not sure), HUGE SAW, syringe and a picker? Anyways, looking at these tools, she's definitely dead. Picker (not sure of the name) is used to pluck out teeth or crush small bones, HUGE SAW is used for cutting flesh and bone, hammer is used for crushing bones or organs and IRON MAIDEN is used for... well... killing. If the horse guy actually used this on her, she's definitely fucking dead.

However, I found out through a brief research that the body of the girl after she activates her armor is completely irreverent to her orignal body. So, I think that means no matter how hurt her "Armor body" is, her actual body is ok. I think that might apply to death as well. So we can conclude that she was killed in the torture in the end, but she regenerated after taking off her armor body, therefore was able to come out in the later episode. So, both sides are right!
