Such scans are horrible for translation and decensoring though. And I seen watermarked scans being uploaded on one site anyway, so don't know how much that helps.

As far as other people stealing all the scanners' hard work to post online... I'm pretty sure that's the exact defense that went out the window. Way, waaaaaay out the 50th floor window. It's not that we don't appreciate their effort to share (I mean we're on this site), but it still pales next to the artist's their defacing. Not to mention having a commercial interruption on every page is how you ruin books and promote murder rage.
