I feel like people don't really 'get' what CGrascal's translations are all about. They skim the surface and see the fragmented sentences with improper grammar and words that go all over the place, and they say, "Oh, that CGrascal, what a shitty translator!" And because they don't bother delving any deeper, they come to the conclusion that all they're dealing with is a crappy product that is in almost every way inferior to the raw - after all, at least you have a reason to be confused by the raw.

But what CGrascal is doing for the hentai translation scene is what Pablo Picasso did for art. Picasso was always ahead of his time, the ultimate artisan hipster. His later works never really made any sense to the typical commoner / plebeian, and it was only after his demise that the masses realized he'd actually discovered neo-expressionism before it had even existed.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that CGrascal is the hentai translating Pablo Picasso of our time. A misunderstood genius, creator of a style that emphasizes on mystique and hidden symbols over plain readability. We glance at these translations and hate them, not realizing we are simply hating on our own insecurities reflected back upon us. What we need to do is stare deep inside, to find that glimmer of potential hidden within all of us. Only then can we realize what CGrascal had being trying to do for us all along.

I came to realize this after reading the first page of the doujinshi, and agonizing over the issue of whether Lis had customers or not. I won't consist of anything indeed.

A couple of years back CGrascal's translations did not seem as bad as what I'm seeing recently. I don't know what happened, but I still appreciate his translations. After thinking about the first page for a while I'm thinking that what Lizbeth meant to say was that even though she has customers, she needs more since she is done with her commissions. Really awkward wording but still better than moonrunes, be grateful for the free translations!!!

Really was needed that kind of expansion in the business? reminded me a bit of a very good (at least the first part) doujinshi of Finecraft69 about Tifa a Barret.

Is there any hope for any more Kirito x Asuna vanilla doujins?

@BlorgAlmighty

It may be too late, but here's a translator-in-training's response.

When it comes down to it, we're all stealing artwork and illegally putting them up on the internet. If we don't pay for them, the least we can do is honor the author's story and translate it as accurately as possible.
I've been translating manga and hentai on and off for a couple of months, but even I can spot the mistakes in CGRascal releases. If CGRascal buys all his raws, maybe I'll put up with it.

Your bullshit was some good bullshit and I saved it. CGRascal's translations are not so awesome. I laughed at the review, did not download the gallery.
