I'm a bit confused about the ending...

is that supposed to be a happy ending? not that I hate happy ending from sanbun.
I actually love 'em, since them happy ending from SK is quite refreshing for me.

like, after a marathon of sougetsu no kisetsu and suna no kusari, the (more or less for the protags, although with some unfortunate implication) happy ending of sayuki no sato really makes me happy and all..

I can't read japanese (bar hirgagana and katakana), so I assume that the mind controller (the one in glasses) ended up freeing the protag and his girl. it's looks like a happy ending, but then again, we can see the implication that the mind control still linger with the girl, what's with her kind of slutty clothings and constant arousal...

so correct me if I'm wrong, is it a happy ending or not?

More like an happy ending with bit pieces of corruption here and there.

Im gonna try to explain the last chapter, sorry if my english is not good enough...
At the beginning of ch 16 Mana(main girl) is saying she is happy because she is finally having sex with Daiki(main guy), she keeps repeating that, but as the other girls(yuna and the milfs) she is not "feeling" anything, The mind controller points out that she is only thinking she is happy yet she knows that the true, the feelings of her body are stronger than what her mind wants to think.

Then the mindcontroller sets another suggestion, when he snaps his fingers, Mana is going to open her heart and let the true come out. Fatman starts fucking her and she reverts to her Mindcontrolled self, only to come back to her senses once she notices Daiki. She is about to break yet she is barely holding back.

Mindcontroller then asks her to open up, and accept what she is, he tells her everything will be fine since everyone memories of that day will be erased from their minds, hearing this she loses it (insert usual Sanbun mindbreak confession here).
Mindcontroller points out fatman grew way too attached to Mana, so he should try to understand what the mindcontroller is about to do, then he proceeds to wipe out all his memories(he says "all" not sure if total or only about what happened),same way he did to fatman's father.

Mana now dating Daiki, starts telling she doesnt remember much of what happend, but thats okay since she is sure she loves Daiki, she forgot a lot of things but the important ones are still there(talking about daiki mostly).
Then daiki points out she is wearing "flashy" clothes again, but he is okay with it, he also points out that Yuna and the aunties wear even more daring clothes than Mana.
We get some dudes talking offscreen, pointing out Mana looks and want to do her, one calls her a bitch, etc etc.
This turns on Mana and she starts another monologue where she confess that she likes being stared at, she likes being stared at with lewd eyes, but she doesnt say anything about, thats her secret, her condition, she likes Daiki and for the moment thats enough to fulfill her heart...

And... thats all...I know my explanation its not the best but thats the most accurate as possible as i can explain it.

TL;DR Version:
Mindcontroller uses Mind wipe, it's super effective. All the girls return to a slutified version of their former normal selfs, Mana is dating Daiki, she is still a closet "Maso" but Daiki's love is enough for her to keep it at bay(for the moment).
