Despite lack of plots, Marmalade's galgames are quite enjoyable for the decent character design (especially when cartoonist Mikeou was the primary illustrator and designer). It is most unfortunate that during 2009 she left Marmalade after "Kiss × Lord × Darjeeling" was released and changed her drawing style since 2010.

In 2011 when "Love2Quad" was released, many consumers are shocked by absence of Mikeou and claimed "Marmalade with out Mikeou is not Marmalade".

As for Mikeou herself, in 2010 she worked for Journey's galgame "Nanairo Kouro" and since then, her drawing began to "degenerate". During the days she was in Marmalade, girls she drew had their eyes beautiful as gems or crystals, but since Nanairo Kouro, she made everyone's pupils clearly seen in their eyes, which destroyed overall bountifulness of her drawing.
