No problem man, I did not accuse you directly of upscaling some old scan, but these upscales are rather easy to find on hentai blogs out there. I got a hand of the file I mentioned, and I agree you this is a completely different scan.

I usually tell upscale or not by comparing same pages from both scan for minor details. Because If you ever tried scanning a book, you will know that when a person scan a book and then scan it again the next day even with the same scanner, he won't get the exact same results. There are always small minor details that are different. So if they looks exactly the same then it's definitely upscaled or bloated. But if there is different like crops, angles, dust specs, glue marks etc etc, then it's a different scan.
