Anyone here ever watch Aquarion Evol and if you have is it worth watching? Cause just based on the doujin content I'd be kind of on the fence about this series. i.e. consistently brainless scenarios. Not that this isn't a good doujin but like so many others it just sticks with the mold for the sake of expediency.

The series is decent. Read up a bit on Genesis of Aquarion, then watch Evol since it makes a few references to it, but it isn't necessary. Follows a shoujou type of story line mixed in with mecha. There are quite a lot of brainless scenarios, which eventually teaches the main characters a new technique that they almost never really use any other time in the series. It doesn't really pick up storyline wise until around episode 16.

Is bad, only a fan of the series will stick to it to the end. Main characters specially the female one are unappealing and annoying.
