I use to have a low opinion of CGrascal's translations, but then Laruffi/Goatse showed up on the scene and set a whole new standard for the level suck that can reasonably be present in a "translation". Now GCR's stuff is like reading something by Ernest Hemingway as opposed to reading the post it note left by a retarded dyslexic inbred kindergarten graduate cousin who's favorite past times are picking their nose or drinking beer.

Anyone else find it interesting how some of CGrascal's galleries attract the whole "wow ur literally worse then hitler and hitler's mom combined" circlejerk, while some of CGrascal's galleries don't have any of that kind of stuff? While the need for proofreading is quite a necessity for CGrascal's work, the work in on itself is absolutely delicious. We need more Kagerou! Or at least I do, I don't know about y'alls.

I think it's because some of Rascal's translations are actually reasonably competent. No glaring issues or anything. The galleries that attract the most criticism are the ones where he was especially lax in proofreading and editing, and the quality consequently suffered. Some are perfectly fine, and some are almost unreadably bad; I suspect that if he were to put in a consistent level of effort in proofreading and editing, he'd attract less criticism.

Really, this is all stuff that he has the ability to fix. If he spent half the time proofreading that he did sockpuppeting I can all but guarantee that most of the criticism would quiet down.
