You know it's not so much the translation ( hey at least it's not a Goatse/Laruffi job) but rather the scenario itself was rather disappointing considering the presence of Monster Girls. Still looks awesome, but it won't be in my favorites list, 4 stars.

Speaking from a translation standpoint, his translations often don't make sense. Why do they not make sense? He translates some phrases literally without bothering to make sense of it himself (this is a big deal) and he doesn't use proper grammar (or his grammar is nonexistent). Look at page 6 "but,". You don't put commas after a conjunction like that. There it is again on page 9 (which also suffers from another very frequent problem of his. Constant questions. "I told you to stop?". Why is that a question?)

Speaking from an editing standpoint, he doesn't line his speech bubbles well at all (look at page 5 "em-barassing"? really? any decent editor would space that so it'd just be "embarrassing"). There's another example on page 7. And 13. and 14. I could go on and on. His redrawing skills are subpar (this is forgivable... to an extent. Redrawing is a harder part of editing but considering how long he's been editing his skills shouldn't be equal to someone who has never redrawn in their lives).

This is without going into the more minute details like how he doesn't put some kind of punctuation during broken up phrases across bubbles. Let's take page 9, for example, and ignore his odd phrasing. The large left panel should read something like "You're going to receive... some shame, too." This is forgivable. There's some otherwise fantastic scanlators that don't do this. This is more of a cosmetic thing. Other details I don't hold against him is choosing the right SIZE for the BUBBLES. Good gosh. If my head isn't already spinning by re-reading some of these sentences, it's certainly spinning now that the size of the words keep changing left and right.

What a lot of people don't seem to understand is I, and many others, don't exactly hate on him because he's bad. That'd be childish. I personally welcome anyone who is earnestly trying this rewarding world of editing and translation. You're constantly learning and getting better. You see, though, this is where the problem with CGrascal lies. He doesn't try to improve (or maybe he is and he's just really slow). I don't think he's done it as of late, but in the past, if criticism was directed towards him (and I mean constructive criticism, not just pure flaming) he would respond either childishly (stfu) or he would just downvote them. This is not okay. Another reason that *I* dislike him is more of a personal issue. While I have no issues against commission based editors (desudesu was my go-to dude for a time to read new doujins)I am pretty old fashioned and I'd rather edit for free so you guys can enjoy stuff. From the community to the community, basically. It just peeves me that if this dude can get away with subpar edits and subpar translating and charge money for it... well. It just makes me feel like he's taking this like a joke. I take pride in my edits and I don't get paid.

Ask anyone else in the scanlation scene. They'd probably have the same view. A lot of the others got burned in the past by typing stuff like this, though, which makes more and more of us less likely to try to respond with an answer. So you have half the people disliking his work, and half the people going "Hurr durr, why hate the dude doing this? No answer? THEN Y U NO DO?". Next time a question like this pops up, feel free to copypasta this as the answer.

All the reasons (no. really. ALL the reasons) people generally do not like CGrascal's translation and editing can be found in this doujin. That being said, I'll give this doujin about... another week or so before it gets a proper scanlation. Probably by our homebois over at Yuri Project or Yuri-ism or something. If a week passes and nothing happens, I'll take the matter into my own hands and find a translator for this and go ALL OUT on the editing. Just 4 u guys.

Full scanlation, i.e. entire new scan? I ask because I ordered a copy to scan right before this came out, and the raw is apparently missing page 5. I don't have the book yet (nor know when I'll get it; hopefully my deputy will ship it soon).
