... So because he's non-specific about their relationship after the fact, has the makings of a sadist, and the face of an asshole on the last few pages, it's "kinda dark"? Or is it a combination of that, and the artist being Cuvie? I'm sure I'll regret bothering to say this much after reading it in full, but I'm also sure that for the most part he's just two-thirds an asshole unless a sequel says otherwise. Remember seeing something similar a while back with a quiet girl and a ranting-asshole, and the general consensus was that there's "someone for everybody," can't quite see what makes this one that much more 'dark'.

Well, pardon me for announcing I skimmed various pages and came to a different conclusion than literally everyone else who bothered to comment at the time, and expressed that different conclusion. I mean, "a means to an end"? The only place where that even comes up is in the comments, based around the thought of this being "kinda dark." Inferring deeper, darker character-logic when we literally see what goes through their heads is, quote unquote, "such bullshit."

Having read it in full now, I see I have no regrets in statement. As far as this one's eyes can see, the biggest differences between this MC and any other is that he's smart enough to use what was literally spelled out for him, doesn't express extreme shock in her liking him, and has the face/demeanor of a proper Asshole. Goddamn, this doesn't even reach the levels of whatever the propername reverse of femdom is, and people consider it "dark."
