@ShadowMKII This may be two years late as a reply (which in itself was two years after my post), but you don't need to tell me about subtle or overt forms of domination. There are stories where the manipulative aspects you describe are something I would immediately classify as femdom, but not this one. Those sorts of manipulations, whether big, small, frequent or occasional, happen in all interpersonal relations. By your logic, everything should have some sort of dominance tag, which is exactly my point. Tagging anything and everything where a female has more than 50% agency in the story as femdom makes the tag lose any meaning. You'd be surprised how many things on here get that tag if the female lead even so much as shows active interest in sex instead of being completely timid or reluctant. It's the reason why I have an issue with default tagging of oneesan/shota stories as femdom without any other context. Because if the story is even so much as "female takes the lead" the tag comes out.

At its core, the manipulations aren't enough for the tag. It really is just a slightly kinkier take on the "childhood friends pick up where they left off" scenario.
