From what I can tell there are four types of MCs in a NTR manga;

1) The Childhood/Best friend: I don't have much to say about this guy because he's mostly cannon fodder in the manga. He doesn't even get a chance to have sex with the main heroine, and in most cases, remains completely oblivious to her getting sexed. (If they have sex with the MH at some point, they are no longer from Category 1)

2) The Wimp: You either love to hate this guy or pity him. Probably the most pathetic person you've ever seen in your life. Not only is he either overweight, libido-less, effeminate or cowardly (More often the last two), but he's usually cursed with the tiniest penis known to man. And for what ever reason, this guy manages, against all odds, to either land or become close friends with the hottest girl on Earth. it doesn't take long for his girl to be "taken" from him and she's usually banged right before his eyes while he either falls into despair in tears or runs away in horror...in tears. Out of all the categories, number 2 is most likely to be found masturbating with his tears at the end of the manga.

3) The Absent Lover: In my opinion, the most boring of the four types. He's a Boyfriend/Fiance/Husband, who for whatever reason, is constantly absent from his significant other's side. Unlike number 2, his partner being sexed is mostly specifically due to his absence rather than his sexual prowess. Which can usually be spotted when the villain says "Your husband hasn't had sex with you in some time, has he?". Like number 1, he too often remains oblivious to what's happening with his partner.

4) The Fighter: This is guy is my most favorite out of all the others. He doesn't have any of the hang ups of the previous three. He's not necessarily a rockstar or the strongest guy there is but he's at the very least, not a wimp. Nor does he poses the tiniest penis ever, in fact he might be just as big (In rare cases bigger) as the villain. This guy pretty much gets some of the best stories. He's not as easy to get around like the others so things tend to happen more methodically for his partner to be "taken". He's often right on the front lines starring the villain right in the face. He actually fights to the end to keep his lover, even though he may not always win her back. Out of all the four, he's usually the one who implements a third option when vying for his lover's affection. To which he decides to end his relationship and leave her altogether.

I wish I could say these are Iron-Clad, but there's been cases when each of the categories attributes have mixed with one another. But I feel that those four usually apply to NTR.

There's always gonna be exceptions to the rule. I've seen some where the wimp, to his would be female rapist surprise, has a huge dick. You know the kind. The ones where his childhood friend/girlfriend is getting banged six ways from Sunday, and the girl/s that the villain/s aren't fucking get jealous, and rape the main heroine's boyfriend, with both the MC and MH cumming at the same time.

But yeah, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt when artists are doing one-shots. But is 8 plus chapters really necessary for a wife to figure out whether or not she's being raped?

About this story, the heroine say in the matter is pointless.

I guess 8 chapters of titillation then? Every once in a while something with an actual, compelling and developing story like Netorosare pops up. But for every one of those you get stuff like what Sanbun usually does, which seem to hammer the point in on and on and on. I get it, she secretly wants to be raped or something. An unfair generalization for his stuff I admit. Some people just like the sex scenes, but the very backbone of NTR is the story. Hell, the story is what allows it to be categorized as NTR in the first place. It's just kind of sad that there's barely any out there with substance to them.
