Many galleries look low quality right off the scanner (or phone?), like this one, but they can be made to look much better through judicious use of cropping and leveling, which is pretty simple to do. Starting with a bad scan doesn't mean it can't be edited to look nice. Just so you know.

Bought the physical copy of this and took pictures with my phone and quickly edited in photoshop. Don't have a scanner but thought I'd share regardless.

@Superlatanium: make an arrangement with Lexaeus V where you commit to edit the manga, and when the improved version is ready, you tell him to take down his own gallery and you upload yours. That way you can get arround the expungement rules. You two just need to work together ;).

The best solution I can offer is to do a nice edit + textless version.

This makes future translation easier, and the only one who loose out are Japanese speakers. Whom I don't really feel to bad for, considering how bad they are at uploading galleries here anyway.

Edit work -> send finished product to Lexaeus V -> Lexaeus V updates the gallery with the improved version.
