Was waiting for Comiket 89 stuff to come out when I suddenly came across this. Clone Ningen + Prison School? YES PLEASE! The art style in this doujin is perfect, and the character interaction feels just like the manga. We all need more besto-girl Hana in our lives!

It is hard for me to decide how I feel about the ending.

All the girls in the manga were pretty despicable to one degree or another. The main protagonist could have pretty much gotten his hands on every single one of the main girls if he had wanted too. In the end, with the best out of these despicable girls throwing himself at him... he chose the worst girl in the manga as his girlfriend. Yes, the Sumo sister is the worst girl... not just because of her bad personality, but because of how she was written. What made her the worst of the worst was her acceptance of the protagonist. You see... as bad as all the girls in the manga were, the protagonist really was pure scum. All the guys in the manga are scum to one degree or another, but the protagonist is the worst one because his whole love/persona and everything is based on a lie that spirals into him making more lies in order to cover the previous one.

This is why the Sumo girl is the worst girl and why Hana is the best girl. Because while Hana initially based her crush on him on a misunderstanding, she had always known that he was despicable and had grown to like him despite of that. She had a real bond with him. IN the case of the Sumo girl however, she had always liked him based on that he was a good person. This was the whole premise for her liking him. In the end when she does find out that everything she had liked about him was a lie and that he was pure scum... what was her response? "lets date anyway". WTF??? There was nothing she liked about him. He had absolutely no character traits that she liked, and she never even got any romantic feelings at any point for him. Everything was always based on her delusion. IN other words, in the end she proved that she was the biggest hypocrite out of everyone.

Meanwhile Hana was always best girl because she was the girl that understood just how much of a scum that the protagonist really was. Unlike the other girls that just had some incorrect assumptions that they based things on, Hanna knew exactly what this guy was doing. She even ended up helping him and covering for him. Throughout the entire manga, she was the only girl that really ended up fully being in on the boys schemes and helping them. Not out of the goodness of her heart, but because she ended up on being on their side. At the same time she suffered from a real hatred for men and she was the most maliciously abusive. But this was also why her development was so good.

Throughout the entire story, she was the character that had the best moments with the main protagonist. Through out the entire story, the main protagonist never had a single real moment with the sumo girl. His love for her never really went any deeper than his original crush and he never really feel in love with "her" as in who she was.

Despite all this, in the end... he chooses the Sumo girl. It makes no sense and it makes readers hate him even more.

In the end though, the protagonist himself is the most loathsome scum in the entire manga. As a person he has absolutely zero redeeming or even likeable features. Which is why it is so difficult for me to decide if I like the ending or not. I mean I hate that he chose the sumo girl and I hated the sumo girl. The ending made no sense from the perspective of who the best girl was and who most of the fans reading the story would have chosen. But from the perspective of the story if you consider how much of a trash the protagonist was... then it does make sense. Because he never became a better person... ever.

If I consider all this, then having Hanna end up with a guy like him would have been a bad end for her. So it was a good thing that didn't happen.

But as a reader, I still wanted a happy end for Hanna where she "won" the protagonist bowl...
