Because you aren't goth enough for Shadboy unless you have eighteen bits of metal in your face, smoke, and have dragon tattoos. I'm serious, every time I see a new piece of art from him (And I'm not afraid to call it art because there is good work being done, it's just the ideas presented) I become more and more convinced he's twelve. You know who thinks a basic ass dragon or pentagram tattoo is cool? Twelve year olds and posers. Notice how the comics and series managed to give us the vibe that Raven is/would be goth WITHOUT making her look like a stereotype. Maybe if Shad did this to other characters I could go, "That's just his fetish" but since it's only the girls that are "dark and brooding" types I can only assume this is his idea of "What they would be like without censorship" or "in real life" kinda thing.

I like Shad, I really do. His art is sexy as fuck. His fetish for the asshole piercing is just something I can't get behind. Its a piercing that is so terribly unrealistic that it is painful. If a real person had that, even if they took it out, they'd suffer from infection, extreme pain, and a lot of agony. Keep drawing, Shad, just... ...yeah. Poop comes from there. Even taking it out would lead to horrible side effects.

Now I'm going to go ahead and jump on the band wagon. Everything Shad does looks incredible and, to be honest, I'm a big fan of his over-indulged image of gothic girls he has. My two biggest problems are...
1. He never finishes a DAMN thing. (This could be my 1 and 2.)

...if he could just get by these (I understand shemales are kinda his thing so, maybe, I don't know, just once in a while?...) I would actually SUBSCRIBE to his site or wherever he posts.
