Frankly I found this artbook to be a bit disappointing. Having Primal on the cover, who is the only Beast Wars character featured within was very misleading.

Well it's a book of fan-art. The obvious Optimus Prime clearly took a lot of inspiration from Optimus Primal, and Bumblebee taking some cues from Cheetor. Wheeljack is very reminiscent of a Shadow Fox, or König Wolf from Zoids.
