It's weird to say, but my favorite thing about this show is how shonen it is. It's so dark, yet they have time to talk about love, family and friendship.

great series

i bingewatched the last 9 eps in a row after ep 16

i wish we had more of Captain Ginyu... err, Carta Issue. She seemed more lovable goofy tomgirl than major threat (Nui Harime can teach a lesson or two on being goofy AND monstrous)

I'd actually expected the Gjallerhorn forces to get more formidable the closer they got to earth, but they weren't much more than an overglorified Honor Guard, the Fleet at the Dort Colony seemed the most dangerous

African Union: Isis wins, wiping out the Europeans & seizing Africa, a mix of Black, Arab & Turk

Strategic Alliance Union: Aztlan, with La Raza & MeCha parties plus good ol Communism & Socialsm as 3rd parties, a mix of Latino & Black, think "Brazil x >9000"

Oceanian Federation: Likely a Last ditch Alliance by Chinese & Indians to hold back ISIS & La Raza (Maybe Japanese & Koreans still exist as Pacific Buffer Zone & Indochinese hold off Islamic State of Indonesia-Malaysia)

Arbrau: Possible (but unlikely) last hold-out of Whites allied with indigenous communities, Mainly Easern European/ Russian... in theory

Summary: Interesting map of Future Earth, surprisingly plausible (Except Arbrau, the most sparsely populated region, no reason China can't gobble the Siberian half) The names are silly, since racial/ ethnic identity controls the passions of 93% of humanity (the past hundred years only dropped 7% from the original 100%, what's 300 more years?) so the Superstates would likely have names based on people

Being Canadian made the fact that the Arbrau Parliament buildings were in Edmonton, of all the awful places, just hilarious. I was watching it with friends and I swear to god we giggled a little every time it was brought up.
