Pretty disappointed in how this one ended up going, honestly.

Eh, I don't really agree.
There's no reason that any of her coworkers would actually believe her, since they'd just assume she was simply lying out of desperation (in an attempt to escape her fate). Even if a few DID somewhat believe her, they'd most likely be too afraid to actually do anything about it (especially since they have no proof that what she's saying is true), and would inevitably give in to just using her as a love doll, like everyone else.

And putting aside the fact that I find that angle way more hot/interesting, this series has never really been much about realism anyways.
Realistically, the fact that she'd been turned into a love doll the DAY after the chief was killed is bound to set off alarm bells for many of her coworkers.
And considering the fact that, by the end, a rumour has been passed around about love dolls being women who had opposed the government... It's clear that some of her coworkers were likely suspicious anyways.

Also, might be worth noting that the government in this story almost seems to go out of their way to make it obvious that there's often a connection between victims, considering they also target a relative of the female worker for no apparent reason soon after.
