@treecatt yeah appreciate it. I’ve completely translated all Japanese, Chinese, and Spanish versions on Google Translate to have some comparisons. Some of them have a really weird-ass translation results. It was a bit difficult to translate, and my first time doing it. Trying my best to rephrase, though in the end, lots of people criticize it.

It's stated the machine exchanges the body structure of the two people, so maybe it's "conservation of mass" that isn't sculpting them so much as exchanging the "mass" between them? Or maybe it would cause problems if the old man was no longer around, so they need her to be a literal body double to maintain the business/fortune, at least until "Asuka" is old enough to "inherit" everything.

IMHO people need to treat this stuff as what it is: Fiction that has no bearing on reality/real life. Nobody is harmed. In a lot of cases for TSF material, it's simply an expedient way to explore the thought exercise around how certain fantastical gimmicks might operate.
