@cg2324 this isnt a gender bend tho. A gender bend maintains the character while changing their gender. This character shares nothing with what they are supposedly being bent from other than a name a a few very basic design elements. wrong personality, wrong skills, au setting. I like me some female sonic, but this isnt that. This is slapping a few proper nouns onto an unrelated work for name recognition.

As for nobody caring about an oc, if the story isnt engaging enough to make them care, its not really a story worth telling

@CuisineSonic you're overestimating gender's impact on one's self identity. Gender isn't self constraining in the slightest. If anything is being constrained it's due to the person's own personal psyche. Also if a person was raised in the exact same circumstances but simply genderswapped, no major changes on a scale you refer to would occur. To say that there would be changes would be to imply that there is a superior gender. Which is blatantly untrue.

I believe that's why so many people have issues with the writing present here. Seeing as how you're saying Sonic as a male is bored and unfulfilled as a hero. But as a woman she has found her true calling in life as a slut and a cum dumpster. You're trying real hard to put the work in and make your story believable, and I can respect that. But the direction you're taking this in is not very convincing for the point you're trying to get across.

@CuisineSonic I probably should've worded it better, but I meant Sonic was ignoring Tails. So that's my B. As for everything else, I can totally see where you're coming from. From your viewpoint this story flow might come as completely natural, as well as a ton of other people. But there are also a lot of people who find this flow odd and strange as they aren't familiar with it as you might be. This could result in a lot of potential tonal whiplash. If you wanted to come across as less polarizing, I would suggest slowly building this ideal up, letting it settle from the background and slowly but surely make its way to the forefront of the story. Then when that ideal has settled for a good while you can really up the ante and go crazy in any potential direction you wanted. That way readers would be more open to new ideas and more invested in where the story and its characters were headed.

also, how does Knuckles even know all of this incredibly detailed lore about his people? the original perfect chaos event was thousands of years ago and most of the history about the Knuckles Clan prior to that was totally lost, all that's really left are well-worn murals and carvings, and most of that is nearly impossible to decipher. and judging by his sudden random racism toward humans I'm going to go out on a limb and say that he's definitely not been letting any archeologists onto Angel Island to do any research on whatever _is_ left. so I guess Knux just managed to decipher all of this himself? on his own? KNUCKLES?

@CuisineSonic first of all, no, not necessarily; he is an echidna, after all. both of his parents could have been long gone before he was even out of his egg. it's totally possible that he was raised by the will of the Master Emerald alone, possibly with the aide of small animals; both of which we know are sentient even if they lack the ability to communicate verbally.

either way, Knuckles not knowing much about who he is is kind of a core part of his character. I don't know what canon this comic is meant to be following (I think stuff related to Knuckles/echindas is way diffrent in the Archie continuity/continuities), but in Sonic Adventure it's pretty clearly stated that he dosn't know why he's the guardian of the Master Emerald or much of the history of his people. Knuckles not understanding what old murals were meant to be saying was even a pretty important plot point back in 3K, the mural in Hidden Palace shows what, if you didn't know the correct context, could easily be mistaken as Eggman protecting the Master Emerald from the threat of Super Sonic, especially after some coaxing from the good doctor; which explains why Knuckles attacked Sonic at the beginning of the game. (there's also probably something about it in Chronicles, but that game sucks and isn't canon anyway so, I'm not going to think about it.)

Although I will admit that I was a bit wrong about implying that it was ridiculous that Knuckles would be able to decipher ancient texts. in a scene that I failed to remember in Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity he's seen translating ancient texts. so if there was any legible lore left on Angel Island after the Original Perfect Chaos Event it wouldn't be out of the question that he could read it.

@CuisineSonic Respectfully, To give credit where credit is due, it definitely felt realistic at the beginning with a good start. You did a great job of making the emotions feel real. However, it still ended up feeling forced as the comic went on. Specifically starting at the moment after Tails failed to revert Sonikko back to male. The moment Sonikko stepped out of the pod, she just instantly disregards Tails like he doesn't exist anymore. It comes out of nowhere. I get that maybe she was mad that Tails tried to change her back to male, but while Tails was wrong to do that, you could still understand why he tried to.

To summarize, Sonikko hurt Tails's feelings one morning, making him tear up, and run up the stairs. After that, Tails looked deeper into what happened in the lab, and was startled to find out that the sequence was actually aborted, yet Sonikko still changed into a woman. Which confused him and makes him think that something else was happening in the background. Which understandably sends him into a panic.

In the context of the story, Tails was just confused and afraid that something sinister was going on behind Sonic's transformation into a woman. Like maybe she was being brainwashed or mind-controlled, or corrupted somehow. He didn't understand, and was just afraid that he was losing his best friend to something sinister, and after so many years of sharing such a close sibling bond, Sonikko should have picked up on that, and at least *tried* to get Tails to understand. Tried to work things out.

Instead, she just instantly abandons him without even acknowledging that he exists anymore. It makes her feel heartless, cruel, and that's the main reason out of two reasons why this comic felt so mean-spirited towards Tails. The main reason is Sonkko's forced and absolute abandonment of Tails, and the second is that you kept Tails too sympathetic in the story for a fall into villainy to work, or for Sonikko's dismissiveness to feel understandable.

Sonikko's cold indifference toward Tails didn't feel earned. It didn't feel like he deserved that. It felt forced, contrived. Instead of addressing the problem with Tails, Sonikko just left that problem to fester while she traveled around the world to collect chaos emeralds. So that she can, from what I can tell, abuse their power. It kills any connection that I'm supposed to have with her, and I know that the reader is supposed to be on her side, because you included the usual themes that are meant to make Sonikko sympathetic. She's happier now, yeah, but I don't feel happy *for* her. All I see is a heartless bitch that hurt her dearest friend and reduced him to a ruined shell of his former self, and she has no remorse whatsoever. Despite so many years of being siblings together, she doesn't even hint at the slightest speck of lament for what they once had. By the end, it felt like if Tails were to straight up kill himself, she still wouldn't care.

As for making Tails the villain, That's definitely interesting if pulled off right. Unfortunately, it felt like he was going crazy, yes, but it didn't feel like he was turning *evil*. Even at the end when he's supposedly gone full villain, he still hesitated to attack her because clearly their past friendship still meant something to him. Sonikko on the other hand, during that same moment, had no reaction and still just regarded him with the same cold, cruel, and uncaring indifference.

@CuisineSonic I'm all for Sonic acting out of character. I agree that it's much more interesting that way. Sonic acting ooc isn't the problem. It's the *way* she acts ooc. Acting ooc is fine if she's still at least somewhat likable. In a story, it's important to be able to root for the protagonist. The real problem in this comic is that she completely ruined her likability.

You say that you might've failed at juxtaposing Sonic's own breaking point. If I may be honest about my opinion, there's no "might" about it. A stronger job could have been done to show her breaking point. Hence why her relentless coldness towards Tails feels instant and out of nowhere. You say that she probably would have accepted him if he had apologized, but they were both at fault for the downward spiral of their bond, and I would argue that Sonic started it. I'm not glossing over the fact that Tails made the bigger offense. I'm just saying that he's not the only one that owed an apology.

Readers expect to sympathize with the protagonist, and when the protagonist is a bad person that they don't want to see win in the end, it normally makes it hard for them to like or enjoy the story. Even when the porn is hot. It also tends to leave them with a very bitter feeling afterwards.

I absolutely love your works, and I'm really looking forward to what you make next. I definitely love all of the other versions of fem-Sonic from your other stories. I just can't enjoy this one in particular. Out of all of the different fem-Sonics from each of your different stories, this CEO version is easily the most unlikable. She is, simply put, a spectacularly horrible person

I realized that the circumstances that led Sonic to become a woman in the first place is a load of forced, contrived bullshit. We have 2 renowned heroes who have saved the entire world multiple times. One of whom is well known for being an unmatched scientific genius. They're proposing a project for an innovative form of powering the world with energy that is both clean and unlimited that Tails' genius mind is guaranteed to make work, and is guaranteed to revolutionize technology throughout the world, and apparently every single one of the potential investors are completely uninterested and dismissive of it? To the point that Sonic needed to have tits to catch their interest? Yeah, I call bullshit. Even if you were going with the excuse that the comic is set in a more cynical and realistic world, that excuse falls apart because the situation wouldn't go down like that in real life. By real life logic, all of the potential investors would be throwing themselves at Tails' clearly brilliant invention with dollar signs in their eyes.

@CuisineSonic Yeah I'm well aware about big companies being against any new, clean energy because of profit and corporate greed ect. ect., but that can't be used as a counterargument when it's not presented within the comic itself as the reason why Sonic and Tails are being turned down left and right. We're not even meant to presume that as a supposed reason either. I know this because after Sonic became a woman and started sleeping her way to the top, everyone jumps on board with this new clean energy concept with no qualms over the fact that their precious profits from primitive fuels would be in danger of coming to an end. So their initial disinterest was effectively just for no reason. Aside from possible skepticism that Tails' invention would work. Skepticism that wouldn't make any sense. Or more likely, the reason why is simply just because the story needed to happen.
