It kind of varies between chapters since some of them mess up. When it’s done the indented way it’s more like a full assimilation from the inside and they take the most beneficial traits; so the first girl is just flat out gone. The one in this chapter seems to be a merge with a 80-20 split since the girl has more influence over the mind despite not being the pilot. The guy that just flew into a girl’s body seemed to get the reverse of Girl 1 and got unknowingly assimilated by the girl (who now gets flare ups of what remains). So yeah some are, some aren’t.
