@reaper01 they had a breakdown and rationalized that porn was desensitizing men to intimacy and sex. Men were paying more attention to porn instead of going to look for a real person and they decided they didnt want to be a part of that. So they said they wouldnt be doing any more NSFW content and instead going to try to be wholesome.

Don't really mind that much. I understand the attempt pretty well. Sometime the good characters or even story inspiration can stem from hardcore NSFW material (Like Hellsing manga) . If the artist felt a need to overhaul everything from the start for the sake of story they want to tell or create, I'm always gleefully supporting them.

@RabidTanker I can't said much for the artist since its their own reason. But I things might have going down like:

- Initial NSFW concept came from a simple "Magic Gone wrong" which end up in a hillarious chain of events (Usually end up with pretty hardcore sex)
- The artist at first using a simple trope. An apprentice of magic, A "Succubus", An Elf, A knight etc etc. Whichas the original NSFW progress, These character start to be fleshen out bit by bit enough to having their own characteristic.
- Thing is if the artist having a certain story or narration on their mind which going further than "weekly fuck" to every character you meet since there are one concurrent character with the ability and the intention to do so on almost everyone "she" meet. Well, whatever plot they may have coming up with will always end up with big fat cock ramming into someone asses or vagina. Which might not be very good if , again, you want to telling a certain story.

So minus on the public breaking down. Judgning from the overall skill of creating a comic and all. I think this "reboot" might have a thing to do with the creator's delimma.on drawing just porn and want to make a good story + porn or just a story, That kind of thing.

To me it was not a problem that the author wanted to start SFW stuff. I am all for it even if they reboot their old stuff but he was acting like porn was the problem and how bad it is and how fucked people are without looking at his own content because yeah can't say it is vanilla. Like he could have just said I don't feel like doing porn at the moment and want to focus on SFW stuff but oh well.

NSFW or SFW it still good artwork. Sure there is no more fun bits showing but at least the story will go on. Now that is said I disagree with author on desensitization but that is a difference of opinions. Honestly is sounds like a bit of self projection where the project snowballed into a dark territory that the author didn't like after a self evaluation and saw an ugly side of themselves. Enough of the amateur pysche session and I'm still going to enjoy since I like the premise albiet the cliches.

As others have commented, they could have just said they wanted to focus on SFW stuff. And it's not like any of his work could easily reflect reality considering its subject matter. Truthfully, it might have been smarter just to make an entire new cast of characters and story considering how much the NSFW stuff was intrenched into the core of the story. Not only would it give them more freedom but it wouldn't come out feeling like a Frankenstein's plot filled with conflicting tones and ideas.

This guy made a 400 page comic in like the span of a year and some change and he wants to reboot it...I smell burn out. Like seriously, if this was a webcomic this could've been years worth of updates:
Bi-weekly: 15 years
Weekly: 7 years
Double: 3.5 years
Triple: 1.75 years

The last two are somethingthat takes a team to do or taking shortcut like that Tim guy.

I was the first person to share this artist's works in here, it's still such a pity he decided to throw everything away because "porn bad".

Plus for everyone who was in for the plot, the reboot remains basically uninteresting, Mirabelle is still in the current comic, while in the old one we last saw her 4 and a half volumes ago, in other words, there's still so much story beat to rethread, and sure, without the sex its probably going to be a faster ride to whenever the new comic will differ from the old one, but so far we're just reading the same story again.

Also, as a guy who has been checking porn sites since 2009 (AerisDies my beloved...), the so called "porn addiction" of mine didn't stop me for being in a happy relationship with my fiancée, who doesn't mind it.

While I've got to admit that I loved the NSFW version as combination story and wank material, I also don't mind a purely SFW version. I hadn't been a huge fan of the way the bodies were drawn and I think I'm happier with these slightly more restrained body types.

This demon's expressions and attitude is fucking great. The "You summoned a demon by mistake. Are you shitting me?" panel is straight up good shit.

I think it's good storytelling and don't have an issue with the writing. There's a whole buncha porn stories on here, but the non-porn stuff can be great too - there's one Bowsette series with no sex that's the best thing on this damn site I reckon.

I hope the artist/writer continues here.

I can understand bleaching the work to have something you can show your parents without it being a thing.

But this...just feels like it has a NSFW shaped hole in it. We are seeing 3 chapters, and it has about the content of a single chapter. It is a pacing issue- originally, the SFW parts were set up for the NSFW parts in each chapter. Now, it is only SFW parts, and they areonly work as set up for the punchline "the chapters are short and don't really go anywhere".

This also creates issues with characterization. In the SFW version, I feel like this is just a series of things that just happen without any overarching point or theme. The NSFW version had Lilith encountering problems, and she responds with cruelty and self satisfaction until she switches it to her being "THE" problem. the NSFW set up an air of hedonistic cruelty from Lilith.

Of course, Lilith sexual cruelty is also "THE" problem here. It was likely something the artist had to step back from- the last time I checked was during the 1950's wife beating jokes.

But all these issues combine, and I am forced to wonder if this work can be salvaged at all, or if it is better to step away and work on something fresh from the ground up. No shame in it, sometime you just got to know when to start over instead of trying to jerry rigging something you already scrapped. Maybe come back to this later when you aren't as tied up in memories of what this once was.

Yeah, this one is more or less doomed without the sexual violence, unfortunately. Granted, it was certainly over the top; but I think that this it's an little bit too early to declare this an complete failure

I wouldn't say it has to be sexual violence. But general indiscriminate violence might be necessary. Currently, the only really notable thing she has done is kill a farm animal. Which just goes a but on the "neutral barbarian" scale of things.

You don't really get much of a feel for her being a "demon". We need her more as a cruel bully. I think the elf shaped punching bag could serve nicely for that.

This could dovetail nicely into character development as the kid reigns her in and she improves on this... eventually aspiring to the level of only "discriminate" violence against acceptable targets.

For some reason, I think that the porn wasn't the only thing that made the artist loose his shit. But it is, what it is; and there's usually someone else who's willing to pick up the torch for that kind of stuff
