Glad to see another with this take, an heterosexual man possessing a girl is going to turn that girl lesbian, or bi in this case since the mind of the original girl still influenced the guy’s sexual attraction but still glad that it got an explanation.

Also is just hilarious how so mess up of them to just nonchalantly embrace the fact that he just killed the original girl, like screw any remorse or morals I guess.

@Task force 1 First off, don't take the following too seriously. I came here to goon first and foremost, but the material still does bring up some interesting implications.

Well, I'm not exactly sure they "kill" the original host per say. Not saying what the protagonists of each these stories aren't ethically dubious, but I think it's been clear that the way the "medicine" is intended to work (If we go by the first protagonist Miura anyways) the person who uses it, has their soul merged with the victim and become a pseudo new entity that identify as the old person as well as the posser. It's an amalgamation of two personalities. The possessor does become the dominant user of this new singular soul sure, but the 1st, 3rd and this protag still identify as the BOTH the old and new identity (from both original separate souls.)

Pg 9 should be quite clear on what happens. They rewrite their old personality and according to ch 3 protag there is "a sense of loss as my own consciousness vanishes from mixing together with this girl."

If anything, based on most of the other protags in this series flubbing up the possession process (which seems really easy to do so), it seems to me like the one taking the medicine stands to lose the most compared to the victims of this process (your old body also becomes a lifeless husk and presumably dies when you take the medicine, so once you take it, that's that, you gotta commit.) As a victim, the worst that can happen to you is becoming soul mixed with your possessor, yet you're old identity will still be expressed one way or the other. Meanwhile, if the possessor messes up, they can end up like the sad sack in ch 4 (where the body host entered the soul of the would be possessor) or ch 5 (where they overlapped with the soul instead of taking it out and wishing to become that person, thus merging as intended) and the rest who all have degraded their souls to differing degrees.

TLDR.
-The way the medicine works if used properly as a possessor, you get a 50/50 soul assimilation ratio. (You're never going to see your own personality express itself as the clear majority, thus "you're loss of self as an individual.")
-If you mess up in anyway, it can be anywhere from 49/61 to 99/1 AGAINST your favor. While the possessor initiates the process when taking the medicine and chooses their victim without their consent, they are the ones putting themselves at most risk IMO.

Hmmm, now that I think about it. This medicine could technically be used in a consensual manner. There isn't anything based on what we know thus far that would affect how it works even if you were to go to a person and be like, "hey, want to merge souls and get the most out of both our personalities?" I could see some really hardcore experimental couples/friends going for this.

We still know jack shit about where the soul/consciousness even begins and or ends, so it's hard to even truly conceive WTF is objectively going on here.
